I am pretty sure I have ended several texts and emails with..."so sorry, I've been a hot mess lately"...no joke. E starts football this week so I emailed my co-soccer coach that I would be a little late to practice because I had to go to the parent meeting tonight. We scheduled a drop off with A and what time I would be where...all good. I go over my emails and realize practice is tomorrow night, not tonight. So I email co-coach and my husband and say "wow, look at the hot mess, I got it wrong again"..and Husband emails me, "what are you talking about, this morning you told me practice was tomorrow...you have always said it was tomorrow." Wait, what. See...hot mess am I! I am lucky I have not lost my head or my youngest child who goes everywhere with me. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a call from my local grocer that said "Mam, you left your son here, can you come get him"...because they would know he is mine. We go that frequently...because once again, I am constantly forgetting items on my list and I am at the local grocery store on a daily basis.
This afternoon I fed my youngest son on the dining room floor...I figured it was easier. He has this thing, this annoying thing. If he sees food he will spit out what he has in his mouth. So you have to give him one bite at a time, wait until he swallows it and than another bite. If he feeds himself he will chew it up, look down and see more food, spit out his bite for another bite...sort of strange. And MESSY! I feel like my brain is a mess, my house is a mess, and my brain is a mess...wait, did I already say that? I'm looking into getting help...like as in "I can help you organize your home and maybe life" kind of help. I really hope it helps.
