I've been gone for awhile and when I say gone I just mean really busy with work.
But I wanted to tell everyone that I don't like today...I don't like April Fools Day. I don't like going all day waiting for someone to pull a prank on me. I tried to pull one on my sister's Facebook page the other day....I retracted it within a minute of posting it...I felt that guilty. I am taking the kids to Disneyland today (we are getting our passes back....AMEN) and I thought I would use the old joke "Disneyland burned down"...they replied with "Than can we get passes to Knotts?" So of course it also backfired because all morning I have been hearing "Mommy, guess what..blah,blah,blah, or whatever." Me: "Really? or "What?" Them:APRIL FOOLS!
Yep, not a big fan of this day at all.

I'm with you. I hate April Fool's day... I think it should be banished - along with the whole time change thing. It's just lunacy - sheer lunacy!
I always pull mine on Jan on my way out the door while she's half asleep. This morning it was, "I think I'll call in sick for the rest of the year." (Sleepily) "Why?" "April Fool" Of course I WOULD like to call in sick for the rest of the year--I have enough days saved up--but there's this whole sense of duty thing.
My only opposition to the day is the relentless screaming of "April Fools!" back and forth between my children over inane jokes. It gets a little old after the first hour.
I'm with you. Not my fave. holiday!
